These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your registration for and participation in the Healthy Friends Wellness Retreat ("Retreat") operated by Matty Lansdown or its affiliates ("we," "us," or "our"). By registering for the Retreat, you ("you," "your," or "Participant") agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.1 Dates and Location: The Retreat will be held from October 16-19, 2025, in Victoria, Australia.
1.2 Participant Capacity: The Retreat is limited to a maximum of 12-14 participants.
1.3 Accommodation Options: VIP Experience: Private king bedroom with ensuite bathroomPremium Experience: Private bedroom with shared bathroomStandard Experience: Shared twin room with shared bathroom (if available)
1.4 Inclusions: The Retreat includes accommodation, meals, workshops, yoga sessions, nature hikes, group activities, sauna sessions, and other experiences as specified in the Retreat itinerary. The specific inclusions vary based on the package selected.
2.1 Registration Process: Registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment (either full payment or deposit as applicable) and written confirmation from us.
2.2 Payment Options:
Full Payment: Payment in full at the time of registration.
Payment Plan: Initial deposit followed by installment payments. All participants selecting a payment plan will be charged an additional 10% of the total Retreat cost.
All payments must be completed 30 days before the Retreat start date.
2.3 Pricing: The price of the Retreat varies based on the accommodation option selected and the time of booking (Early Bird, Existing Client, Public Release, or Full Price).
2.4 Taxes: All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include applicable taxes.
3.1 Participant Cancellation:
From the date of purchase the first payment of the payment plan option and 33% of the pay upfront option are non-refundable.
If you cancel more than 90 days before the Retreat start date: You forfeit the non-refundable deposit only.
If you cancel 45-90 days before the Retreat start date: You are eligible for a 50% refund of any payments made beyond the deposit.
If you cancel less than 45 days before the Retreat start date: No refund will be issued. However, you may transfer your registration to another person subject to a $100 transfer fee and our approval of the new participant.
3.2 Transfer of Registration: You may transfer your registration to another person, subject to:
Payment of a $100 transfer fee
Our approval of the new participant
The new participant's agreement to these Terms
Completion of all transfer arrangements at least 14 days prior to the Retreat start date
3.3 Organizer Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel the Retreat due to insufficient enrollment, force majeure events, or other circumstances beyond our control. In the event of cancellation by us:
We will provide a full refund of all payments made
We are not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by you in preparation for the Retreat, including but not limited to travel arrangements, travel insurance, or other personal expenses
3.4 Minimum Attendance: The Retreat requires a minimum of 8 participants to proceed. If this minimum is not met, we may cancel the Retreat and issue full refunds to all registered participants.
4.1 General Requirements: The Retreat is designed for individuals who:
Are between 40-65 years old
Can comfortably walk 5km
Are open to connection, sharing, and personal growth
4.2 Health Disclosure: You must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, dietary restrictions, or other health-related concerns that may affect your participation in the Retreat activities at the time of registration.
4.3 Fitness Level: You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and mentally fit to participate in the Retreat activities. Some activities may involve physical exertion including yoga, hiking, and other wellness activities.
4.4 Medical Assistance: While basic first aid may be available during the Retreat, we are not responsible for providing medical care. You are responsible for bringing any necessary medications and managing your own health needs during the Retreat.
4.5 Insurance: We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for trip cancellation, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation.
5.1 Respectful Behavior: You agree to conduct yourself in a respectful, considerate manner toward other participants, facilitators, and staff.
5.2 Program Participation: While participation in scheduled activities is encouraged, it is not mandatory. However, no refunds will be provided for any missed sessions or activities.
5.3 Prohibited Conduct: The following conduct is prohibited:
Harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior toward others
Possession or use of illegal drugs
Excessive alcohol consumption
Smoking in non-designated areas
Behavior that disrupts the Retreat experience for others
Damage to the Retreat venue or property
5.4 Consequences: We reserve the right to ask any participant to leave the Retreat immediately, without refund, for conduct that violates these Terms or otherwise negatively impacts the Retreat experience for others.
6.1 Official Photography: We may take photographs and videos during the Retreat for promotional purposes. By participating in the Retreat, you grant us permission to use images or recordings in which you appear for marketing, social media, and other promotional materials without compensation.
6.2 Opt-Out Option: If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you must notify us in writing prior to the Retreat and verbally identify yourself to the photographer/videographer at the Retreat.
6.3 Personal Photography: You may take personal photographs and videos during the Retreat for your own non-commercial use. However, you must respect the privacy of other participants and obtain consent before taking photos that prominently feature other attendees.
7.1 Room Allocation: Room allocation is based on the package selected at registration. We reserve the right to make changes to room allocations if necessary, though we will make every effort to provide accommodations of equivalent quality.
7.2 Special Dietary Requirements: We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate special dietary requirements if notified at least 30 days prior to the Retreat. However, we cannot guarantee accommodation of all dietary preferences.
7.3 Facility Use: You agree to use all facilities, including accommodation, common areas, and wellness facilities in accordance with any rules provided and with reasonable care.
8.1 Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that participation in the Retreat and its activities involves inherent risks. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation in the Retreat, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional distress, or property damage.
8.2 Waiver and Release: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive and release us, our affiliates, partners, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from or related to your participation in the Retreat.
8.3 Limitation of Liability: In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages, losses, and causes of action exceed the amount paid by you for the Retreat.
8.4 Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Matty Lansdown and all affiliated parties from any claims, actions, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from your participation in the Retreat or your breach of these Terms.
9.1 Data Collection: We collect personal information from you for the purpose of organizing and conducting the Retreat. This includes contact information, health information, and payment details.
9.2 Data Use: Your personal information will be used for:
Processing your registration and payment
Communicating with you about the Retreat
Addressing any special requirements or needs
Marketing future retreats and services (if you have consented)

10.1 Force Majeure: We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations under these Terms if such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, terrorism, pandemics, or other emergencies.
10.2 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
10.3 Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
10.4 Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Retreat and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals.
10.5 Amendments: We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or upon notification to you.
